The History of Bruno's In 1977, John Bruno took over the AMOCO gas station at Castleton Corners, moving the business to its present location in 1994. On august 8, 1998, John Bruno died tragically, struck and killed by a motorist during a late night towing call. Under the ownership of his son, Mike Bruno, the towing fleet has been expanded and a 4 Bruno's locations have opened in Rutland County. Like both his parents, Mike is a auto racer, winning many races across New England.
